Delete Your Data

LaunchBuoy gives you control over your personal data. You can clear your profile data or delete your account entirely from within the app.

What Data We Store

Account information: Name and email address
Organization membership: Your role within your organization
Events and zones: Events you've created and geographic zones you've defined
Subscription details: Your subscription tier and terms acceptance

Your Options

Clear Profile Data (keep your account)

Remove your name and display preferences while keeping your account active. Your events, zones, and organization membership remain unchanged.

What gets deleted: Name, display image

What stays: Your account, events, zones, organization membership

Delete Your Account

Permanently anonymize your account. Your personal information (name, email) will be removed and replaced with "Deleted User." Your account will be deactivated and you will no longer be able to sign in.

What gets deleted: Name, email, profile image, organization membership

What stays: Events and zones you created remain in the system but are no longer associated with your identity

How to Delete

Both options are available in your Profile page under the Data & Privacy section.

Sign in to LaunchBuoy
Go to your Profile page
Scroll to the Data & Privacy section
Choose Clear Data or Delete Account

Go to Profile → Data & Privacy

Additional Retention Period

When you delete your account, the anonymization takes effect immediately. There is no additional retention period for your personal data. Anonymized records (events and zones attributed to "Deleted User") are retained indefinitely for data integrity purposes.
