Delete Your Data

LaunchBuoy gives you control over your personal data. You can clear your profile data or delete your account entirely from within the app.
What Data We Store
- Account information: Name and email address
- Organization membership: Your role within your organization
- Events and zones: Events you've created and geographic zones you've defined
- Subscription details: Your subscription tier and terms acceptance
- Launch reminders (mobile app): The launches you follow, the reminder time you chose, a push notification token for your device, and your device's time zone
Your Options
Clear Profile Data (keep your account)
Remove your name and display preferences while keeping your account active. Your events, zones, and organization membership remain unchanged.
What gets deleted: Name, display image
What stays: Your account, events, zones, organization membership
Delete Your Account
Permanently delete your account. Your account and personal information (name, email) are removed, and you will no longer be able to sign in.
What gets deleted: Name, email, profile image, sign-in details, organization membership, subscription details, launch reminders and push notification tokens
What stays: Events and zones you created remain in the system but are no longer associated with your identity
How to Delete
Both options are available in your Profile page under the Data & Privacy section.
- Sign in to LaunchBuoy
- Go to your Profile page
- Scroll to the Data & Privacy section
- Choose Clear Data or Delete Account
Additional Retention Period
When you delete your account, the deletion takes effect immediately. There is no additional retention period for your personal data. Events and zones you created are retained without any link to you, for data integrity purposes.
Launch reminders are also deleted when you turn them off, and a day after the launch. A device's push notification token is removed when you sign out on that device.
